GAY MORMON DAD
Chad Anderson grew up gay in a large Mormon family. After years of trying to conform to religious standards, which promised a cure for homosexuality, he married and had children before finally coming out of the closet. Gay Mormon Dad is his story of finally learning to love himself in a complicated world. Chad currently resides with his two sons in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he works as a social worker and a writer.
THE MUSHROOM MURDERS
Delaware City was a peaceful little port town until its citizens started getting slaughtered! At the scene of each crime, all that is left is a small pile of ash and one creepy little mushroom. The police bring in two expendable detectives, Sterling Silversmith and Emerald Johnson, who are in way over their heads as they try to stop any more deaths! With ancient mysteries, demons hungering for human flesh, and an unexpected love story, the Mushroom Murders takes everything creepy and mystic about mushrooms and explodes it into an original, fast-paced, and character-driven five-issue limited series! Produced by Creator's Edge Press, written by Chad Anderson (Marvel Comics Handbook writer) and penciled by talented cartoonist Robert Keough, the Mushroom Murders is a surefire hit with surprises in store with every turn of the page!
Picture yourself sitting back and listening to six writers share their stories with you. Everyone is assigned the same topic. They write about events from their lives, stories that will leave you aching with truth, laughing your guts out, and feeling inspired. Just come down, laugh so hard, and leave wanting to make the world a better place. Voices Heard works hard to create a safe space of expression to all humans, from all diverse backgrounds.
On November 22, 1988, Gordon Church stopped at a gas station in Cedar City, Utah, where he met Mike Archuleta and Lance Wood. A few hours later, Church was dead because he was gay, his body dumped more than an hour north in Dog Valley.
Targeted for being gay, Church had been raped, tortured, and bound with tire chains in the trunk of his own car before Archuleta and Wood drove him to a remote area of Millard County and brutally beat him to death with a tire iron.
